On February 24 last year, a single guy tripped out and decided to make a spoof video of Justin Timberlake’s Dirty Pop. With the help of his brother, he got the whole thing shot and edited and posted on YouTube. Now, sixteen months and sixteen days later, they are one of the hottest net celebrities in the Philippines to date.

    James Ronald Obeso, aka Moymoy Palaboy and his brother Rodfill “Roadfil”, have made YouTube their very own. With almost 8000 subscribers and 7.12 million hits, I could say, they really made it. To add to the internet fame, the duo made their debut on Bubble Gang, a primetime gag show on local TV. now, Bubble Gang is the longest running gag show on Philippine airwaves (12 years and counting), and it is no small thing to be included in the show’s main cast. Now they even signed a contract with MTV Philippines for cable airing of their antics.

    With the rags-to-riches like story of these siblings, it inspires me to think that ordinary guys could really get a good break with a little creativity and lots of web prescence. XD
