Organizing a Scattered Mind

I am a slacker. At the same time, I am also scatterbrained. I can’t count how many times I have forgotten and/or misplaced things around the house, miss appointments, fail to do things in my checklist, or for that matter, fail to even put down a checklist. I have been like this for years and Leejay has been overly patient in trying to help me organize my task, my thoughts and everything else. He has introduced me to writing large checklists and pasting them on the cabinet doors or even the walls. But such as I am, I even fail to notice those notes most of the time. Since I am a computer hog, he advised me to re-install Rainlendar on my computer and put almost all of my lists there, as well as appointments, birthdays and other important or special events for the year.

 Rainlendar

Rainlendar is a calendar software that could help in organizing your life. It also has its own Events and Tasks/To Do windows that you could always have pinned on your computer screen. There are two versions of the software: Lite and Pro. There are not much difference between the two, save for the fact that the Pro version lets you connect your local folders to that of your online calendars in Google and Outlook. You can even sync them. But for me, the Lite version is just fine.

Another cool thing about this software is that you can change skins if you want to. There are some that can be downloaded from devianart.com. You can even display multiple calendars with different skins on your desktop if you want to.

The best thing about Rainlendar is the recurring alarms. You can make daily, weekly, monthly or even yearly alarms on Rainlendar. You can even put alarms for due dates on your tasks. These alarms can also be customized per task so you’ll know what alarm was sounding when and for what task.

So, if you’re having a hard time getting your schedule and your tasks organized, why not give Rainlendar a whirl? It’s small but it’s features are really great for keeping up with deadlines and appointments. So try it out!
