Much Ado About Cows
I saw a link to this site from another friend’s Plurk and I think it’s funny and kudos for the Pinays/Pinoys who are making these BAKA (cow in Tagalog) mechandise.
Their merchandise include stickers, button pins, shirts, and notebooks to date. These are a glimpse on the Pinoy psyche, about things we seem to make fun of. For context, the word baka is a homonym, one meaning is the word “cow”, and the other, the word “maybe”. So in a sense, some of these questions, like the one posted above “baka may hangover ka pa!?” (maybe you’re still hung over), pokes fun at some people’s morning-after-the-party. It come across as an insult but it is part of the Pinoy sense of humor to be a bit insulting in joking. If you easily get offended, it’s your fault – pikon ka kasi (you’re a sour puss). Xp
Anyway, so much for trying to explain the Pinoy sense of humor. To be able to get the best sense of Pinoy funnies, you have to experience it first hand from Pinoys who grew up in the Philippines. Home brewed humor is still the best.

nothing and no one will enjoy pinoy humor except pinoys thenselves…..
funny… hahahahaha
